Goals

To showcase and introduce the sport of bicycle racing to children, giving them a opportunity to use cycling for exercize and transportation.
By classroom demo, introduction to riding and Racing.
Classroom demonstration
A United States Cycling Federation Official, and a professional cyclist, explain the rules of racing, the history of the sport, how to train and nutrition.
Safety Course
Local community police will explain the safety and rules of riding bicycles on the road.
Proper fitting and equipment demonstration
Bicycles will be provided.
Students are fitted to a bicycle, to insure proper positioning.
Approved bicycle helmets and gloves will also be provided.
Basic Riding and Racing
Accompanied by a instructor, students will ride in a traffic free designated course. They will be instructed on how to ride in a race position.
Included instruction will also have pedaling rotation, riding with a group, cornering, and sprinting.
Fun Race
Once the students have completed the course, they will be put in a race to have them participate in a few "mock" races.
The goal is to give them the thrill of competition an a bicycle.
Medals and a course completion diploma will be issued.
